Designed for Ferrino SPA, world leader in outdoor equipment, the innovative project T-RES (responsible tourism) focused on a sustainable way to look at outdoor camping. The collection was characterized by a nature-friendly approach and directed to enrich the awareness of environmental issues. Back in 2004, the Open Up Tent has been the first one in the market to introduce a transparent vinyl roof, a window to look at the sky, and dream under the stars. The main idea behind this solution was the belief that by appreciating the whole beauty of nature people would have been more respectful and careful about their environmental footprint.
The Open Up Sleeping Bag, other item of the collection,followed a similar rationale. A key element to respect nature or any other pvisiting place is education. Getting to know better the context we are directed to or engaging with is crucial to foster appreciation and respect. Adding sleeves to a traditional mummy sleeping bag made easiest reading or taking notes lying warmly inside the confy nest. The sleeping bag was also equipped with a little led light to facilitate night reading.
